Mona’s Style Salon & Spa Guest Safety Plan

The doors of Mona’s Style will be open again beginning June 2nd! We are beyond thrilled to be able to serve you again. We are asking in advance for your patience and grace as we open back up at limited capacity. We empathize that you all have been waiting for many months to schedule an appointment, and it may take some time to get in due to our reduced work schedules.


We understand your concerns, so we have taken the highest of precautions to prepare our business for you! The safety of our team and guests is essential to us, so we have:


– Cleaned and disinfected all surfaces and implements (daily and between each guest)

– Laundered and disinfected all capes, towels, and linens (daily and for each guest)

– Removed any non-essential items throughout our business


Initiated contact less scheduling and payment

– Acquired appropriate personal protective equipment

– Discontinued the practice of hand shaking and other non-essential contact

– Re-certified our teams on essential infection control and hygiene practices.


This is our plan for PHASE ONE of opening. As the circumstances evolve, we will likely update our protocols. We will communicate accordingly. You are important to us and we want to continue to offer a high level of experience while modifying our services to minimize exposure.

Here are some of the changes:


WAIT IN CAR or OUTSIDE IF IT’S NICE OUT:


We are asking all of our guests to remain in their car or outside. Call the salon number when you arrive, 507-552-1356. We will call you back when we are ready for your appointment. Please confirm the cell phone number we have on file.



TEMPERATURE CHECK and HEALTH SCREENING CONFIRMATION:

Upon check-in we will ask you what your temperature is, please take your temperature the morning of your appointment. Temp must be less than 100.00.


You will also be asked to confirm the following:

  • – Have you had a cough?

  • – Have you had a fever?

  • – Have you been around anyone in the past 14 days w/ these symptoms?

  • – Are you living with anyone who is sick or quarantined?

  • – Do you have a pending COVID-19 test or anyone in your household?

If this is not comfortable for you, we ask that you postpone your service.


SICKNESS: If you are showing any signs of fever, cough or illness we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment. We reserve the right to refuse service.


SANITIZE HANDS: Upon check-in we will be asking all guests to sanitize or wash their hands at the designated area.


MASK: All guests must wear a mask per the governor’s order. Please wear on entering our salon. If you don’t have one, we will have masks available to purchase for $1. If you do not wish to wear a mask, we can reschedule your appointment.


PAYMENT: We would like to request that guests use credit card as payment. We will have limited cash on hand.


ONLY YOU: At this time we request no one accompany you during your service. If you are bringing in a young child for a service, you can stay with your child. If you have more than one child with an appointment, another adult will need to attend the appointment with you, and wait in the car with them until it is the next child’s appointment time.


PERSONAL ITEMS: At this time please bring minimal items with you i.e. cell phone, form of payment and a beverage ( if wanted as we are not offering beverages at time). Please leave your purse or large bag and coats/jackets in the vehicle at this time.


APPOINTMENTS NEEDED: All guests will be by appointment only at this time. No walk in appointments.


HAIRCUTS: Please arrive with dry and clean hair. We will cut your hair dry or spray it wet. At this time we will be performing minimal blow drying, or styling and shampooing. If you have straight or mostly straight hair, if not please arrive with it already straightened. For our men clients unfortunately we will not be performing beard trims at this time, due to the mask not being able to be removed. These changes to appointments are not done to upset anyone but we are told to limit contact time with us at your appointment at this time.


COLORS: Please arrive with dry and clean hair. At this time we will be performing minimal blow drying and minimal styling. We will also reduce the conversation during shampooing out your color. These changes to appointments are not done to upset anyone but we are told to limit contact time with us at your appointment at this time.


SPA: We are limiting our spa services. We will be performing all services that do not require the removal of your mask at this time, this includes brow waxing, brow henna, body waxing & lashing. We are sad this means our relaxing services massage, facials or peel services are not available at the moment.


RETAIL ONLY PURCHASES: Retail only purchases will be available curbside. Please place your order online or via over the phone. When you arrive to pick up your order, call the salon’s number to let them know you’ve arrived to pick up your product.

Although our “rules” have increased our hearts are still the same. We are smiling under our masks and truly happy to have everyone back in the salon!


Please relax and enjoy your time with us! We know what’s going on in the world is serious, let’s put that aside while you are with us and let us take care of you! We are glad you are here!
